Thanksgiving is coming up quick! Our feline friends are definitely high on the list of things we are grateful for. But what about Fluffy? What do you think would make your kitty’s list of things she is thankful for? A Forest Hill, MD vet lists a few ‘pawsible’ options below.
Soft Beds
We suspect comfy beds would make the top of your pet’s list. Although cats can—and do—sleep pretty much anywhere, they love finding soft, cozy places to curl up in. Offer your furry pal plenty of soft beds.
Tuna
Treats are definitely among Fluffy’s favorite things. While every cat has their own likes and dislikes, most of our feline friends enjoy tuna. Just don’t give your kitty tuna too often: it doesn’t contain all of the vitamins and nutrients your pet needs to stay healthy.
Sunbeams
Does your kitty love to sprawl out in sunbeams? While we’re pretty sure that Fluffy doesn’t actually run on solar, she certainly does love sunbathing!
Warm Laps
Cats make great cuddle buddies! It’s always very relaxing to settle down at the end of a long day with a good book or movie and a purring cat.
Boxes
We may never entirely figure out Fluffy’s box obsession, but that’s ok. We just know it’s cute!
Catnip
Kitties are always adorable when they are enjoying the effects of their favorite plant. Give your feline buddy a new catnip toy every now and then. If Fluffy doesn’t seem particularly impressed by catnip, try offering her honeysuckle instead.
Good Views
Cats are safer staying indoors, but they do enjoy watching birds and squirrels. Offer Fluffy a comfy window seat with a good view.
Toys
Cats are predators by nature, so they are instinctively driven to want to pounce and jump on things. Fluffy is definitely grateful for her toys … even if she does push most of them under the couch.
Clean Litterboxes
Kitties like their litterboxes nice and clean, and who can blame them? We don’t like dirty bathrooms, either!
You!
Fluffy may seem aloof at times, but she actually is very appreciative of the love and care you give her. (Of course, she may show her gratitude in some odd ways, but that’s another topic.)
