Dr. Farhan Chaudhry
Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Farhan Chaudhry grew up on a farm in his native Pakistan, where he was surrounded by pets and working animals from his earliest days. Ever since he can remember, he’s wanted to help the earth’s creatures in whatever way he could! For Dr. Chaudhry, veterinary medicine provided the perfect opportunity—now, he’s the proud owner of the Animal Medical Center of Bel Air.

Dr. Chaudhry attended veterinary school in Lahore, Pakistan, and moved to the United States with his wife in 2002. He completed an internship in small-animal medicine and surgery at Louisiana State University, and received his foreign veterinary student certification in 2008. Dr. Chaudhry has been a licensed veterinarian ever since! Having always had a dream to own his own practice, he was thrilled to take ownership of the Animal Medical Center of Bel Air in the spring of 2015. Dr. Chaudhry’s interests include soft tissue surgery, managing chronic diseases, and critical care.

Aside from his interests in veterinary medicine, Dr. Chaudhry enjoys traveling with his family and playing and watching cricket. He and his wife of 16 years are proud parents to a wonderful set of twins and also share their lives with a rescued cat, Cheddar, who can often be seen lounging here at the hospital.

Recently I had to bring my cat in for some procedures. Given her nervous tendencies, I expected her to be a little rattled when I picked her up - but she couldn't have been happier, and it was clear she'd been well taken care of. Thank you!

I took a poodle/mutt guy that got bite in nose and mouth (thru the fence) by a neighbors pit/rotty. Blackie was crying sitting in one spot of the yard. Blood coming from nose and mouth. He was make a snorting sound like swallowing blood. I didn’t know how bad bite was or if serve.

I googled and called and ladies said bring him in. We were both scared. When I arrived at vet office ladies were great. Gentleman working there were super nice and kind to me and Blackie.

The vet (male vet) was very nice and checked Blackie. We left with pain meds and antibodies.

Blackie was hurt bad thank goodness. The staff and vet were great.

We had our first visit on Saturday and love this place!! Louie and I got instructions on how to brush his teeth. We picked chicken flavored toothpaste!! They took a very cute photo of Louie, a red long haired miniature dioxie. Understood Louie's allergies to shots and meds and explained how to brush his teeth to keep his teeth and gums healthy!! Louie is so loveable and I am so glad I found this vetinary practice!!

Truly wonderful staff and Doctors!! I have been there several times through the years. I can't tell you enough how wonderful everyone here is. I have had to put down two of my cat babies here and everyone was so kind to both me and my sick cats. My cat Ping was happy and actually purring right before it was "time". I am forever grateful for that.

We love Dr. Esra and her team at the Animal Medical Center. "We" meaning both of us humans, and our menagerie of pups and cats. The docs and staff are kind, gentle and caring, and have all the latest technology as well as the best natural & alternative techniques to keep our furry loved ones healthy. After moving farther away, we still drive up to Belair to patronize Dr. Esra's place, because trust and integrity don't have a zip code! They are great.
